  15. Llegiu les següents paraules: Puig, Xàtiva, segueix, xorros, condueix, marxa, mateix, motxilla, capritxosa, serveix, passeig. Les paraules marcades en negreta contenen la grafia x o els dígrafs ig o tx. El dígraf ig al final de paraula (Puig, enmig) sempre representa el so /ʧ/ de la ch castellana (cheque) o del grup ci italià (ciao). El grup tx en valencià representa el mateix so(motxilla). La x, però, pot representar diferents sons (en xic i Xàtiva sona completament diferent ). El grup ix ( segueix, mateix ) representa el mateix so /ʃ/que la x de Xàtiva.
