Hertfordshire Health Walks A popular county wide programme of free short, regular walks led by trained volunteers and graded to suit all fitness levels and abilities.
St Albans, Harpenden & Villages Health Walks Walks take place throughout the town and surrounding villages all year round, on a weekly or fortnightly basis, including weekends and evenings during the summer.
Why walk? • a great way of meeting new people - most walks finish in the pub for a drink and a natter • a chance to get outside in your local green spaces and countryside – helping to combat stress, depression and anxiety • brisk walking helps reduce the risk of diabetes, Alzheimer's, bowel cancer and can help prevent osteoporosis, high blood pressure, stroke and coronary heart disease
What our health walkers say… The health walks are just great Excellent leaders and good routes I’m fitter and my Doctor is amazed at how much my cholesterol and blood pressure has lowered
