Learning Outcomes • ALL students WILL learn how to create and alter basic landscape features in Kodu • MOST students WILL be able to explain the difference between mood and tone • SOME students WILL apply their knowledge of mood and tone to create landscapes which set the scene for a game
Tone vs Mood • Tone : “The tone of a computer game is what you, the programmer are feeling towards the computer game. You decide and set the tone of your game with your design choices.” • Mood : “The mood is how the user feels when they play your game. You influence the mood with your design choices.”
Activity – Making Landscapes • Objectives: Create land with texture, add water, trees, rocks, etc. • Directions: We just went over the different tools for creating a landscape. It is your turn to try it out. As you complete each of the following, check it off your list.
