DETAILS OF PROJECT • Category of Project:- Residential • Type of project:- Row Housing • Cost of Project:- • Area of construction:- • Volume of Earthwork:- • Volume of concrete: • Volume of Reinforcement steel:- • Project Commencement Date:- • Project Completion Date:-
Outstanding feature of structural Design • RCC domes ,67m dia dome in structural steel, • Oval elliptical RCC domes • 11x11 m grid for 2,25,000 footprints • M40,M30, SCC For critical area • PT flat slabs • Also refer foot note
Outstanding Architectural Planning together with Aesthetic appeal • Designed as a lantern which would be lit in the night, whereas in day time it would look like a bog cylinder with circular puncture in it. • Also refer foot note
Involved innovative concrete construction practices/methodology or Adoption of any new ingredients in concrete • Self compacting concrete used for shear walls of core area because of heavy reinforced design. Also used Light Weight concrete as filler concrete in all buildings which is having density of 400 kg/m3. • Used high performance concrete (Silica fume concrete) with semi self compacting concrete • Open foundation resting on hard rock with min SBC 200 T/m2, M 35 concrete • 1.2 m dia bored cast in situ piles with permanent MS liners of 6 mm thick, M 30 concrete • M 60 High performance concrete using silica fume • Achieved 28 day strength of 72 Mpa • Abrasion loss of concrete 0.1% • Water permeability – Nil achieved • Fibre reinforced concrete • Used fibre mesh 150 e3 • Std Deviation of concrete cube results = ________
Challenges A)Challenges faced:- To Construct Piers in river bed which was under water for most of the time. B)Solutions Considerd- 1)wait for summer . 2)Coffer dams / Water Diversion 3) Use of piles /Wells c)Solution adopted with reason:- Coffer dams / Water Diversion, (It was not feasible to wait till summer as it would have increased project cost/duration )
Features of Green Building / Energy Efficient Building. • Existing trees used for landscaping • compound walls designed as vertical gardens (keeps surrounding cooler) • solar panels (saves electricity -geyser) • Rain water harvesting • Use of LED (less electricity-light) • Two level green void with glass curtain walling (less electricity -light) • Ready to use, wet mix self curing adhesive for brick blocks, wet mix plaster, polymerised grouting mix, AAC blocks • Use of fly ash in concrete • Also refer footnotes
Quality Assurance and Documentation Implemented Integrated Management system (IMS) certification includes ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001. At every stage of work they strictly follows Quality & Safety parameters. Material testing was carried out in lab for reinforcement steel, concrete , admixture, cement, fly ash, Aggregates, etc. ISO 9001-2008,Full Equipped quality lab, Testing of all material, check list, sample approval system, meetings and workshop on good construction practices, Quality audit system,93 to 96 % structural members checked Also refer footnotes
Utilities /Services (Like plumbing ,Sanitation , Firefighting etc.) • . Fire detection & alarm system. 2. CCTV Surveillance for vigilance of all common areas 24 x 7 monitoring. 3. Guard Tour system 27 x 7 monitoring. 4. Public address system 24 x 7 monitoring. 5. Building management system 24 x 7 monitoring of energy and water consumption done by various utilities. Live information & update about the energy & water consumption data helps facility manager to analyze, compare the consumption pattern as per the occupancy uses. • The BMS system is provided to control all access points , temp, humidity, lights of the bldgs. • The central access control along with cameras add on safety features to the bldgs. • Access control systems to eliminate unauthorized entry
Safety Measures Taken During Construction. • safety committee, monthly meeting, trainings, PPE's provided, lifting tools tackles tested before use, medical health camp for labour, medical inspection room with attendant, ambulance 24x7 ,first aid, fire fighting equipments, fire hydrant, fire tenders, display boards, mock drills, all safety tools
Mechanization Employed at Site • own mechanical capacity for the project. Aggregate crushing Plant, Hot mix plant, Transit mixer, tower crane, tracked excavator, Diesel generator set, Earth moving machineries, Concrete handling machineries like pumps, batching plants etc, Welding, drilling & cutting machineries, Material handling equipments like hydras, mobile cranes etc • Demonstrated benefits of using machinaries • eg. Time saving, cost savings etc
Additional Information • Won AESA Award 2010, Won CREDAI- Real estate award 2012 in Commercial & retail office category non metro & Certification from Indian Green Building Council in 2010. • Training programs for engrs, workers etc
