You will need: • A top that cover your arms • Trousers (No thick jeans, rips or zips please) • Wellington boots • (If you do not own boots, old trainers and socks will • be fine but your feet will get wet) • Trainers to change into for the afternoon • A rain jacket or coat (just in case) • Sun cream and a hat (you never know) • A packed lunch in a named container • No money (you will be given a gift bag) • Your school PE bag • (It is perfect and will be easy to return • if it gets lost) • You do not need to wear school uniform • Old clothes please as they could get damaged
The information centre will be closed to the public on Wednesday so when we arrive our bags will be safely locked away inside. We will eat our lunch in here if it is a rainy day.
As we move around the coast, look carefully at the warning and information signs about the cliffs and the wind farm.
We will start the day by searching rock pools for mini beasts! This is when you will need your wellington boots (or old trainers and socks).
We will look at and discuss a range of coastal features and sea defences.
We will spend the afternoon looking at the Roman Fort and finding out about the history of Reculver!
We hope to be back at school by 3.25! As we leave, we will phone the school so they can write on the website to say if we are on time or not. We will also use the website to let our parents know if we get stuck in traffic.
