SEPTEMBER 2012 MAJESTIC KINGDOM FRUITFULNESS Pastor Ambrose Nyangao [All scripture quotes from NKJV unless otherwise stated]
To God be the glory for seeing us into this month of great expectations. We continue to celebrate the year of the Lord’s Majestic Kingdom Reign and this month specifically we look at the Majestic Kingdom Fruitfulness. Psa 145:15-16 says, “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.”
Jacob blessed his children with blessings of destiny before he died. One of these sons was called Asher. This was the son born to Jacob and Zilpah. Leah received the son and called him Asher meaning ‘happy’ [Gen 30:13].
Jacob blessed Asher and said: • Bread from Asher shall be rich, and he shall yield royal dainties—Gen 49:20 NKJV • Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties—Gen 49:20 KJV • Asher’s food will be rich; he will provide delicacies fit for a king—Gen 49:20 NIV • Asher will produce rich foods, food fit for kings—Gen 49:20 NLT • As for Asher, his food shall be rich, and he will yield royal dainties—Gen 49:20 NASB • Asher’s food [supply] shall be rich and fat, and he shall yield and deliver royal delights—Gen 49:20 AMP
This month we celebrate Asher’s blessing. This is the month when we look into the theme the Majestic [royal] Kingdom Fruitfulness. Asher in Hebrew means: a straight path, blessings, success, happy. We expect God to make us fruitful as we walk in His straight paths of blessings and success. Leah named the son born to her through Zilpah, “I am happy, for the daughters will call me blessed. So she called him Asher.” [Gen 30:13]
David speaks of this when he wrote Psalm 103 and narrated the blessings of the Lord and the benefits that none of us should forget. We are to bless and celebrate God because He is the source of all these blessings. We do not chase the blessings but are in a covenant relationship with the Source of all Blessings.
God dwells among us and in us. Christ in you is the hope of glory [Col 1:27]. In our sin we fell short of the glory of God. In His reconciliation, we have entered into His glory. We have become partakers at His table of refreshments. He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies [limitations, ignorance, poverty, unbelief, selfishness].
We are royalty. We must walk like royalty. We must represent royalty. We must honor royalty. These royal benefits are ours in the name of Jesus Christ. Let not the devil hide this truth from you. He is pleased when we walk in ignorance. Jesus paid the ultimate price. Why should you walk in the poverty mindset of the devil?
The word benefit in the Collins Concise Dictionary means: something that improves or promotes. An advantage. To do or receive good; profit. Do you know these benefits? Are you taking advantage of these benefits? David the psalmist commands, “Forget not all His benefits” [Psa 103:2].
The LORD’S benefit of forgiveness though the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Heb 9:22 “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission” • He has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west • He has forgiven us by His blood and cleansed us from all unrighteousness • He has made us the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus • He has taken away our sinful garments and given us royal robes of righteousness • He has nailed all that evil report against us on the cross and given us eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ
The LORD’s benefit of healing through His restoration power.
Mat 8:17, “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” • He has healed us. By His stripes we are healed • He has healed us spirit, soul and body in Christ. We are made WHOLE • He has healed our minds by giving us the mind of Christ • He has healed us through a new blood transfusion which brings daily transformation • He has healed us from the curse of the Law
The LORD’S benefit of redemption through the power of the cross
I Cor 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who perish, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” • The power of the cross redeems us from the penalty of sin which is death • The power of the cross redeems us from the accusations of the devil • The power of the cross redeems us from the self life that keeps us in bondage • The power of the cross redeems us from the dominion of darkness • The power of the cross redeems us from the addictions of this present life
Psa 103:4 “Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies” • We are crowned to enjoy His love and kindness • We are crowned with a new mind • We are crowned to declare His tender mercies to all • We are crowned with royal dignity • We are crowned to reign as a chosen people
The LORD’s benefit of satisfaction with the good things from heaven
Psa 68:19-20 “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Our God is the God of salvation; and to God the Lord belong escapes of death.” • We are satisfied with the benefit of eternal life • We are satisfied with the benefit of the presence of the Holy Spirit • We are satisfied with the benefit of the favor of the LORD • We are satisfied with the benefit of the fellowship of God’s people • We are satisfied with the benefit of the grace of God
The result of meditating and acting on these benefits is awesome.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. We can admire these benefits and nothing will happen. We receive the things of God by faith. They are your benefits. Believe them. Receive them. Apply them. Walk in them today.
The results according to Psa 103 is that: • God renews our youth like the eagle’s—vs 5 • God gives us justice—vs 6 • God removes our sins as far as the east is from the west—vs 12 • God’s angels are activated to work God’s word in our lives—vs 20 • God’s throne is established and His kingdom rules—vs 19
This is what he said in Deut 33:24-25: • Asher is most blessed of sons—the blessing • Let him be favored by his brothers—the favor • And let him dip his foot in oil—the anointing • Your sandals shall be iron and bronze—the dominion • As your days, so shall your strength be—the triumph
May the LORD of Asher touch your life with favor • May you experience favor and blessings • May you walk a straight path in the LORD • May you not veer from His word • May the Lord guide you in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake • May a table of His grace be prepared before you in the presence of your enemies • May you experience abundance and may God’s field in you yield fruit fit for a king • Amen and Amen!!
Enjoy a great month. ARISE AND SHINE FOR YOUR LIGHT HAS COME AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD IS RISEN UPON YOU. .
