Through strategic partnerships and activities such as producing educational materials and participating in R&D projects, the Foundation enhances the use of ICT and cultural heritage. Objectives - I • Contribute to the uptake of Education in Greece and Europe • Support the Public Schools System and the Greek Ministry of Education • Support Innovations in Learning
Objectives - II • Contribute to the Regional Development and Social Welfare • Support the dissemination and effective use of the European Cultural Heritage, particularly by the applications of ICTs
Strategies - I • Be useful for the Greek and European Society, to face the challenges of the “Information Age” • Develop a productive, innovation and know-how transfer supporting network of universities, research centers, cultural bodies, public authorities, educational establishments and industrial partners
Strategies - II • Participate in R&D European and national projects • Focus on viable solutions for the society and the educational communities, on a short- and mid-term basis • Work closely with the pubic administration • Be complementary to the universities, etc.
Activities - I • Production of educational materials for the school teachers and the students (videoprogrammes, multimedia, hand-outs, etc.) • Studies on educational and cultural multimedia development, their use, digital education market intelligence
Activities - II • School Networks • Flexible Learning Innovations (eg. Teachers training, use of cultural materials in mainstream education) • Research & Development projects, for ICT-based solutions in Culture and Education • Consulting public bodies and the industry
