  5. Comfort • New chairs • New tables • New draught proof curtains • Refurbished floor

  6. Cost £ • Tables and chairs 1800 • Flooring & curtains 750 • Security 760 • Hygiene 960 • Toilets 370 • Miscellaneous 750 TOTAL ~ £5400

  7. Potential Sources of Funding • Norfolk County Council Grant • Breckland Grant • Parish Council • Self funded • Charity Grants

  8. Charity Funding • Geoffrey Watling Local charity in name of former business man and late Chairman of NCFC • Awards for All National Lottery funded charity

  9. What happens next? • Gain as much support from users /local community • Obtain quotes for work/purchases • Send off GW application form by end of January • Await decision – normally ~month • If yes, hope to have work completed by end May • If No, proceed with survey apply to A4A

  10. Future • Promote new facilities • Involve community more • Provide wider range of activities • Tap into community’s skills • Increase occupancy from 52% -70% • Increase income

  11. Summary • Real opportunity for funding • Need everyone’s support • Grant cannot happen without it • Make the village hall a place to be proud of • Chance to make the Village Hall a real focus of activities
