Chart of Accounts Conclusion • A Chart of Accounts is a list of numbered accounts containing ledger account names and numbers showing classifications and sub-classifications, that are affected by the financial transactions of a business. • A Chart of Accounts could include the following account series (groups): Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Revenue, Expenses. • Each account in the chart of accounts is typically assigned a name and a unique number by which it can be identified.
