  1. ICT in Society Areas of Computer Applications

  2. task It is official, One Direction decided to venture into the ICT sector. They had chosen Malta where open the head office of their new venture. Not having much knowledge about ICT systems they are asking for help. The would like someone to present them with more information about computer applications used. They expect a PowerPoint presentation to describe the type and use of each application. And report in Excel showing the costs involved in setting up such application.

  3. Process The class is to be divided in groups of 2 or 3 in which each team member will have a role. The roles to choose from are; • System Analyst • Webmaster In case that the group is of 3 there will be 2 system analyst within the group The best group will present their findings to the band members on their next visit in Malta. GOODLUCK!!!

Commercial data processing Applications used for commercial data processing are divided into these categories; • Stock control Systems • Reservation System • Administration Systems • Point of Sales Systems Each group is requested to create a showing practical uses of each system and an Excel report showing the costs involved in implementing such system.   18. Evaluation You will be evaluated according on the following aspects; • Accuracy of content found in PowerPoint • Use of Excel

  19. conclusion At the end of each lesson a short discussion will be held in which a group member from each group will divulge the group findings
