What is Skype? Calls to other users within the Skype service are free. Calls to landline and mobile phones can be made for a fee using Skype credits.
What is Skype? Skype has additional features which include instant messaging, file transfer and video conferencing.
Equipment • MICROPHONE : Headset Mic Recommended • Web Cam ( For Video Conferencing) • Computer (laptop or desktop) • Internet Connection (LAN, Cable, DSL)

Getting Connected Skype users connect via a Skype Handle or User Name. Example: Mark_Hine
Search for Contacts Contacts >> Search for People on Skype...
Add A Contact Contacts >> Add Contact
Placing a Call Saved Contact
Placing a Call Users can also connect directly to landline and cellular phone numbers for a fee.
Placing a Call Call >> Call Phones Skype credits are needed to call a landline or cellular phone.

Placing a Call At Ithaca College Only - A call must be initiated from an Ithaca College computer.
Placing a Conference Call Call>> Start Conference Call... Audio Only Max 25 Participants
Video Call Camera must be enabled and not in use by another program (like iChat or Windows Live)
Screen Sharing Must be in a call to share your screen ( or a selection of your screen)
