  1. KINGDOMS and CLASSIFICATION

  2. Directions: Use each of the following pictures and/or clues to place the organisms into their proper kingdoms. In these harsh conditions of a geyser in Yellowstone National Park, you may find a unicellular organism belonging in this kingdom? ARCHAEBACTERIA

  3. I am a microorganism that cannot make its own food. I digest my food externally then absorb nutrient molecules into my cells. I cannot move about and if you were to look inside of my cells you would find a nucleus in each one. I am a member of what kingdom? FUNGI

  4. Although I am quite small, I am still multicellular. I will only be hanging out here for a moment because I am about to move on my way to find some snacks to eat. If you want to know more about me, you will have to learn more about what kingdom? ANIMAL

  5. We all belong in what kingdom? FUNGI

  6. Unicellular • Eukaryote • Heterotroph KINGDOM: PROTIST

  7. By going through photosynthesis, this kingdom isn’t only making food for itself. It is creating oxygen for many other kingdoms to use. What kingdom is made of multicellular autotrophs? PLANT

  8. Oh….there ain’t no nucleus in me…there ain’t no nucleus in me…I’m single celled, in intestinal trails….but there ain’t no nuclues in me! I am in kingdom… EUBACTERIA

  9. This here is the exception to the rule, the only unicellular organisms in this kingdom. Described as a sessile, heterotroph, it is needed to make your bread rise. It can be found in the kingdom... FUNGI

  10. Don’t fret, we are friendly. Yes, we are unicellular and found in food, like yogurt. Even if you look closely at our picture, you won’t see any nuclei! We belong to the ___________________________ kingdom. EUBACTERIA

  11. Here is our resume: • Eukaryotes • Unicellular (well, except for algae) • Heterotrophs and autotrophs possible We work for what kingdom? PROTIST

  12. Imagine swimming in warm waters off the coast of your tropical vacation resort. You come upon this unique creature. What questions could you ask the local taxonomist to determine what kingdom this creature belongs in? After asking your precise, scientific questions, what kingdom have you determined this blue wonder of the deep blue sea to belong in? ANIMAL
