    17. Increasing Skill Levels Funding (WNF) available from 01/04/09 - 31/03/11 Targets: “Increase in the number of working age people in Walsall with NVQ Level 2 Qualification” “Increase in the number of working age people in Walsall with NVQ Level 3 Qualification” Walsall LAA 2006-09

Increasing Skill Levels Key Intentions: Increase number of Level 2 & 3 NVQ Qualifications (or Equivalent) – Government attainment figures Develop alternative curriculum pathway linking Entry Level to NVQ Level 3 Focus delivery on Voluntary & Community organisations Enable future higher level delivery from Voluntary & Community sector.

What it can fund Output Delivery - Ł600k EACH YEAR Accredited Qualifications New, innovative, additional provision Target Outputs (EACH YEAR): 100 Pre Level 1 Qualifications 50 NVQ Level 1 (or equiv) Qualifications 250 NVQ Level 2 (or equiv) Qualifications 60 NVQ Level 3 (or equiv) Qualifications

    21. What it can’t fund Capital Expenditure Non Accredited Training Lack of pathway toward vocational qualifications Statutory Qualifications required by employers Level 2 that qualifies for Train 2 Gain

    22. Engagement and Foundation Learning Scope The delivery of engagement and foundation learning at pre NVQ Level 1. Providing a suitable platform for progression to further learning opportunities. Eligibility Accredited Pre NVQ Level 1 qualifications. Funding Up to Ł720 per qualification (inc Ł200 Initial Assessment & ILP)

    23. NVQ Level 1 Training Scope The delivery of training at NVQ level 1 or equivalent. Eligibility Accredited qualifications that offer progression to the LAA and Government’s Level 2 targets Funding Up to Ł1000 per NVQ Level 1 (inc Ł200 Initial assessment and ILP)

    24. NVQ Level 2 Training Scope The delivery of training at NVQ level 2 or equivalent. (Any equiv qualification must be minimum 325 GLH) Eligibility NVQ Level 2 qualifications or equivalent that contribute to the LAA and Government’s Level 2 targets.

    25. NVQ Level 2 Training Subject area funding ( including Ł200 IA & ILP) ITQ, Retail, Call Centre Operatives, Hospitality Up to Ł1,200 IAG, Health and social care Up to Ł1,500 Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing Up to Ł1,800

    26. NVQ Level 3 Training Scope The delivery of training at NVQ level 3 or equivalent. (Any equiv qualification must be minimum 595 GLH) Eligibility NVQ Level 3 qualifications or equivalent that contribute to the LAA and Government’s Level 3 targets.

    27. NVQ Level 3 Training Subject area funding ( including Ł200 IA & ILP) ITQ, Retail, Call Centre Operatives, Hospitality Up to Ł2,200 IAG, Health and Social Care Up to Ł2,800 Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing Up to Ł3,400
