← Position Statement ← Reason #1 ← Explanation of Reason #1 ← Real-life experience ← Reason #2 ← Explanation of Reason #2 ← Fact ← Call to Action The National Wildlife Conservancy should not impose a moratorium on hunting and fishing in north Georgia and they should allow hunting to continue. Hunting helps control the animal population. If we are not allowed to hunt, animals such as deer and bear will overpopulate. This will cause overcrowding causing the deer to seek new habitats. My family has been in an automobile accident when a deer ran out in front of our car. Hunting helps to control overpopulation which forces animals to leave their safe habitat. In addition, animals are an important food source for millions of Americans. Hunters eat what they kill. During difficult times like the Depression, hunting provided food that helped people survive. Please allow hunting to continue in north Georgia and do not impose a moratorium on hunting and fishing.
