Numbers of Followers of All Religions Over 1/3 of the world populations adheres to a form of Christianity. Latin America - highest number of Christians, most are Rom. Catholics. Islam is practiced by nearly 1/5 of the world's population, most in parts of Asia, particularly the Middle East. Judaism, though a major world religion, has fewer followers than Hinduism, Buddhism, and various other religions practices primarily in Asia. Megachurches Coffee bars, book stores and even a bowling alley — leaders of large churches want their church to be an integral part of the community surrounding it, and they are willing to invest in it. Even smaller to midsized churches draw in outsiders through “fellowship” facilities.
