  2. iPad Deployment at COMA • All students will receive an iPad device to use throughout their instructional school day. -Pearson Curriculum installed through apple. • Deployment to take place November 2013 • Parent/student iPad contract to mailed the week of October 21st • Parent Meeting- October 30th (Parent Workshops)

  3. O’Donovan’s Benchmark Results • All Alliance schools will not be in session October 7th-8thdue to district-wide data analysis at CSULA and preparation for CC • Student results are now released, ask your child how she/he did in their Q1 BM exams • Week of October 9th will be re-teach week throughout all core classes.

  4. COMA Tutoring Program • Tutoring Program- October 21- Dec. 13th • Student selection will be based on Benchmark 1 proficiency band levels- Focus area= Basic level • Tutoring schedules will be distributed week of October 14th • Signed parent letters will be due by Oct. 18th • Signed letters not received will cause for your child to loose his/her tutoring spot.

  5. Character Counts Week • October 21st-25th– CC Kick Off Week • Entire week will focus on Character lessons through Advisory • Lunch Activities leading into Advisory and focusing on Character Counts Pillars-Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship

  6. CELTD Update • CELDT Exam administration window- Oct. 21st – Oct. 31st • Individual student administration will occur starting 10/21 • Grade Level Group Testing: Week of Oct. 21st • CELDT District Deadline- 10/31

  7. School Wide Updates/Reminders: • Parent Conferences- Oct. 16th - Parent Conferences: 12:30 – 2pm (Last Names: A-M) 2:30 – 4pm (Last Names: N- Z) • 8th Grade Act Explore Exam- Week of October 14, 2013 • American Shake Out- Oct 17th

  8. Parent Reminders: • Student Agenda Checks- HW & Teacher Feedback • Check School Website- Grades, HW, Extension Activities • Parent Bulletins- Sent home each Thursday • SDR Books everyday • Parent Workshop- October 30th
