NM Department of Cultural Affairs Historic Preservation DivisionNMCRIS Enhancement and Expansion • DEPARTMENT STRATEGIC GOALS • Goal 1:Protect and preserve New Mexico’s cultural resources for the benefit of present and future generations. • Goal 2:“Enrich the quality of life of New Mexicans, build communities, and attract visitors through new and enhanced arts and cultural programming.” • Goal 3:“Build information technology capacity (infrastructure as well as staff skills) to support departmental activities.”

NM Department of Cultural Affairs Historic Preservation DivisionNMCRIS Enhancement and Expansion • IMPACTS to DoIT INFRASTRUCTURE • Data Center: This is a web-based system hosted on DCA servers, and will consume bandwidth • Enterprise(applications, hardware, software): Support for software will be provided by the vendor and agency staff. DCA is acquiring the necessary servers separately. DCA will rely on DoIT to maintain connectivity to the internet.

NM Department of Cultural Affairs Historic Preservation DivisionNMCRIS Enhancement and Expansion • IMPACTS to DoIT INFRASTRUCTURE • Telecom (Network Bandwidth): • There will be network bandwidth usage for both HPD and ARMS staff terminals as well as from outside users communicating with NMCRIS • It is estimated that—at peak load time—there could be as many as 20 employees and 100 outside users online • Although the system will be hosted on DCA servers, total bandwidth requirements will be determined by the needs assessment
