College Admission TestingSAT • SAT (7 National Test Dates) 3 Sections: Critical Reading, Math & Writing Each scored on a scale of 200-800 New redesigned SAT coming March 2016 • SAT Subject Tests (test subjects vary based on 6 National Dates) 20 content-based tests One hour in length • PSAT/NMSQT (11TH grade test) October 15, 2014 Preliminary SAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test when taken as an 11th grader Advise 10th grade students to consider taking it New redesigned PSAT coming Fall 2015

Steps for Freshmen/Sophomores In/Out of School • Plan & set goals for rigorous curriculum considering your strengths and weaknesses • Stay focused on academics and improve QPA • Meet with your school counselor • Stay involved in school activities/clubs/community service • Take advantage of any leadership opportunities • Begin/continue to keep track of your activities/achievements resume
