Revising For Exams Two things that can interfere greatly with revision: • Not starting early enough; • Not knowing how to revise ( if unsure – seek help/advise). The Learning Support Advisor will visit all Yr 12 Mentor classes to advise on study techniques. A 6-week program of Study Skills will be run in the weeks leading up to Semester 1 &2 exams.
General Revision Planning Hints • REGULAR MEALS • REGULAR SLEEP • REGULAR EXERCISE • Know your best time to study. • Don’t spend too long on any one course. • Work in 45-50 minute sessions. • Do the “easy” things when you are getting tired • If there is not enough time – don’t leave out whole sections . • Take it easy the night before an exam – don’t study late, do lightrevision only, do some general overview & diagrams.
