IT’S ALL IN THE NAME! Office of Faculty Development and Center for Teaching and Learning are now part of the Office of Faculty Development and Teaching Excellence
Office of Faculty Development: Mission To ensure that GRU faculty members have opportunities and support for professional development in their roles as educators, as scholars, as practitioners, and in the development of their careers, • by coordinating among and collaborating with units throughout the university that provide development opportunities, • by informing the university community of professional development events and activities, • by acknowledging faculty engagement in development opportunities, and • by training faculty members to serve as mentors and mentees. Center for Teaching and Learning: Mission To enhance and sustain teaching effectiveness at Georgia Regents University by advancing a collegial culture of inquiry about learning and teaching. The Center provides professional development for faculty in their roles as educators and as educational scholars through a diverse program of activities and services to individuals, programs, departments, and colleges.
