Project 1: Industry day at TENCON 2014 • Project description: • Industry Day celebrated at TENCON 2014 • 1 Day event with talks, panel discussions from Industry • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives?: Engage industry with flagship event of IEEE R10. • Project measureable deliverables : No. of companies participating at the event. , No. of participants from Industry at the event, Feedback rating on quality of IR Day. • Budget breakdown • Expenses ($600): 50% support to Thailand section for conducting Industry Day • Income : From Region 10 ($600) • Project Milestones leading to completion: • Nomination of TENCON IR Chair – April 2014 • Planning complete – June 2014 • IR Day @ TENCON – Oct 2014

Project 2: Industry Day at all sections in R10 • Project description: • Partial financial support for conducting Industry day at all sections in R10 during Oct 2014 • Small Section support ( 8 Sections ) : 50% of the cost or $200 whichever is the lower, to be supported by R10. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives?: This provides R10 Sections with opportunities to engage industry at the section level • Project measureable deliverables : No. of Sections celebrating IR Day , No. of companies participating at the event, No. of participants from Industry at the event. • Budget breakdown • Expenses ($1600): Support of IR ($200x8) • Income : From Region 10 ($1600) • Project Milestones leading to completion: • Nomination of Section IR Chair – March 2014 • Planning complete – June 2014, IR Day – Oct 2014

Project 3: Required 2 Industry members in all section EXECOM • Project description : • Mandate participation from Industry in all IEEE Sections • Minimum 2 Industry members in the section execoms • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives?: Allows for industry participation and also encourages more industry members to join • Project measureable deliverables : 95% of Sections with 2 Industry Reps in EXECOM, Quarterly conference calls with IR Reps for sharing initiatives. • Budget breakdown • Expenses ($0): No expense • Income : From Region 10 ($0 ) • Project Milestones leading to completion: 1.Complete the nominations by April 2014, Quarterly calls : June 2014, Sep 2014, Dec 2014

Project 4: Interesting Industry Initiatives • Project description : • Recognize Industry focused initiatives across R10 sections in 2013 • Support and sponsor new industry focused initiatives in 2014, 50% of the cost or $200 whichever is the lower, to be supported by R10. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives?: Make IEEE relevant for industry. • Project measureable deliverables : Recognize top 3 industry initiatives of 2013, Fund 3 interesting initiatives across R10 • Budget breakdown • Expenses ($1000): $200 * 5 • Income : From Region 10 ($1000) • Project Milestones leading to completion: • March 2014 – Recognize top3 industry initiatives of 2013 • April 2014 – Call for suggesting industry initiatives - 2014 • May 2014 – Decision to fund 3 interesting initiatives for 2014
