PROJECT: Asean Energy Management Scheme (AEMAS) (1-3810)Reporting period: AUGUST 2013 Project Brief/Summary • The scheme will train and certify energy managers who will then implement sustainable energy management systems within their industries/companies. • GreenTechMalaysia has been appointed by Asean Centre for Energy (ACE) as Certification Body for Malaysia • Officially launched in Malaysia by Minister of KeTTHA on 19th July 2011. Objectives • To reduce energy consumption from the manufacturing industrial sector in ASEANcountries by 100,000 MWh; • To reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by 55,000 t-CO2 equivalent in ASEAN countries ; and • To increase the professional standing of accredited energy managers. • Project Sponsor: EU and participants • HR - EURO 118,710.55 • OOP-Pool based on claim • Duration : 1.2.2010 – 31.1.2014 : 4 years • Expected Outcomes • 20 energy manager’s training courses conducted • 450 EM Certified • 20 Local Trainers Certified • 20 Local Auditor Certified • 7 Organizations Certified EMGS • Status • 17 EMTCs conducted • 399 EM Certified • 14 Local Trainers Certified • 2 Local Auditor Certified • 4 Organizations Certified EMGS
