Cambodian War In the mid-1800s Cambodia was broken by Thai and Vietnamese invaders and sought out protection from France. France ruled Cambodia for seven decades. Conclusion • Cambodia has had a history of war and unstable government • Years of war left many Cambodian orphans and widows • poor infrastructure and job skills. • By reinstating the Monarchy it is hoped that Cambodia can prosper once more. • Life conditions in Cambodia have improved since the war but are still not perfect
