Classroom & School Community • Our school and our classrooms are like small communities. In our communities, we have rules to help us get along with each other. • Our school expectations are: B.A.R.K. • Be Safe • Appropriate Behavior • Responsibility • Kindness
Tardiness & Early Release • School starts at 8:45 A.M. • Dismissal is at 3:53 PM • Please make sure your child is on time • Disruptions to the learning environment in a classroom need to be kept at a minimum so we ask that you do not pick your child up early from school unless it is an emergency. It is difficult to get a classroom of kindergarteners back on task after an interruption as you may well imagine!
Field Trips • Safety Town in September Learn about safety at home and at school. Students learn about: Bus Safety, 911, Fire Safety, Stranger Danger, and more. • Potter Park Zoo in May Students have the opportunity to see the animals they have been learning about all year with Zoophonics.
