MPPOA is a non-profit professional organization of persons (or their agencies) who are employed by or are elected representatives of a public agency or institution and whose duties consist, in whole or part, of procuring materials, supplies, equipment or professional and contractual services. We are an association comprised of purchasing officials from publicly funded agencies such as cities, counties, schools, colleges, road commissions and agencies from the state government.

How do I apply for a scholarship? The scholarship policy and application is available at www.mppoa.net. Applicants must meet the requirements stated under individual scholarship options and be a paid and active member of MPPOA for a period of not less than one (1) year and in good standing in the current year.

How do I become a Board of Director for MPPOA? An election is held during the spring of each year. Voting members of the Association elect officers by way of ballot. More information on this process can be found in the MPPOA By-Laws which can be found at www.mppoa.net.

  6. Frequently Asked Questions How are the annual award recipients chosen? MPPOA members in good standing are able to nominate themselves or others for various awards. Automatic e-mail notifications are sent to all active members every year to solicit applicants. Additionally, award information is located on our website and members are welcome to submit applications throughout the year. However, awards are only conferred annually. How are members notified of training events and job opportunities? E-mail notifications are sent to members and the information is posted at www.mppoa.net.
