Printing System Design ProjectPaper Stiffness DetectorTeam 4 Michael Hoffman Jason Donehower Christine Englehart Josh Ware Initial Problem Statement External Search Final Design It is our objective to develop innovative concepts for key paper handling areas in a digital printing system. Specifically, we are to create a system that detects paper stiffness within a printer or copier, and adapts to the data received. We intend to stick to this objective, but we want to make sure our final design implements our most important customer needs. These include being consistent and accurate, for our system is being designed to eliminate human error, and it also must be able to process printing jobs quickly, without adding unnecessary time to the digital printing process.
