  2. About Malala was born on 12 July 1997 in Mingora, Pakistan. In early 2009 she wrote a blog for the BBC detailing her life under the Taliban's rules. On October 9 2012 the Taliban was mad at her. As Malala went to catch the bus home from school, a gunman asked her what her name was. When she said Malala the gunman shot at her three times. One bullet hit the left side of her forehead and came out her shoulder and the rest missed her. Immediately after the attack she was flown to England for treatment at the Queen Elizabeth hospital were she recovered quickly. She now lives in Birmingham.

  5. Despite her brush with death she still carries on sticking up for what right, maybe even as we speak.
