Single Project Server Database Project Server is using a unique database for each Project Server instance No more 4 DBs per instance like in Project Server 2010 and 2007 This database contains 4 groups of tables Draft tables : “draft” prefix Published tables : “pub” prefix Archive tables: “ver” prefix Reporting tables have no prefix to enable PS 2010 reports to work as is Direct database access to “draft”, “pub”, “ver” tables is not supported

PWA Project Management Improvements • Greater parity for the Scheduling Web Part. Improvements include: • Schedule the entire project plan, instead of only the current task, without clicking Calculate • Cost and material resources can be assigned to tasks. • Tasks can be assigned deadlines. • Formula custom fields are updated immediately while you work with them in Project Web App. • Tasks can be Fixed Work or Effort-Driven, with full functionality. • When you are editing a project, if no actions are taken for a set amount of time, the editing session will time out to preserve valuable memory. Timeouts are also necessary to be able to recover from things such as power, network, or disk failures. • A visual timeline of project tasks is included in the Schedule Web Part.

SharePoint Task Lists • SharePoint Foundations 2013 provides new features that support lightweight project management without PWA • Can opt to view SharePoint task lists in Project Center • Once connected to Project Center you can: • Include Task List projects in reports • Include assignments in resource availability analysis • Task List projects can be promoted to full Enterprise Projects
Exchange Integration • Team Members can report progress via Outlook, OWA, or an exchange connected mobile device • PWA can be setup to honor Exchange OOF time when scheduling project work. • Outlook calendar synchronized with resource calendar • No need to report out of office time separately in Project Web App
All of Your Work in One Place • SharePoint Foundations 2013 with Project Web App supports project sites and personal sites that can provide a one-stop shop for all work. • Project sites now include a timeline, One-Note notebooks, calendars, etc. • When connected to Exchange Server 2013 the project site can include a team mailbox
