Graduation Requirements. Resources: • Catalog of Approved High School Courses • Credit Check Sheet • Four Year Plan • School Counselors
HSA Testing • Students entering 9th grade in 2012-2013 or before may achieve a combined score of 1208-English, Biology, Algebra or combined score of 1602- English, Algebra, Biology, Government. • Students currently in 9th grade (2013-3014 and beyond) MUST pass the Government HSA, English, Biology, and Algebra by meeting the combined score of 1602. • Significant changes are continuing to evolve for our current 9th graders in reference to assessments. (PARCC Assessments for English 10, Geometry and Algebra 2)

Career Academies Suggested Grade Levels: 9-10 Presenters: Andrew Cockley This session will cover information on the various Career Academies at the Applied Research Lab; including when you should sign up and start them.
Honors, GT, AP Course PlacementSuggested Grade Levels: 9-11 Presenters: Tyler Meinhart, Paul Eckert & Liz Crawford This session will cover information on correct level placement, and how to move students up or down levels appropriately. What is the work load really like?
Admissions TestsSuggested grade levels: 9-11 Presenter: Chris Sperlein PSAT/SAT/ACT/Subject Tests? This session will provide an overview of the admissions testing system, outlining the differences between the various tests as well as when students should be taking those tests. Specific resources/programs offered to students will be reviewed.
Naviance Resources :College &Career ExplorationSuggested Grade Levels: 9-11 Presenter: Kami Wagner This session will cover a general overview of Family Connections/Naviance and the resources available for college and career exploration. This is a free resource, offered to all MRHS students, and at this time, heavily used in the college application process.
Junior Parent InformationSuggested Grade Level: 11 Presenter: Will Schwarz This session will cover a time line of what and when juniors should be getting ready for during their junior year. This presentation is highly recommended for juniors and parents of juniors.
STEM/Project Lead the Way Suggested Grade Levels: 9-11 Presenters: Stephanie Doodigian & Roy Rosnik This session will provide information about STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) which is at the heart of today’s global economy. For America to remain economically competitive, our next generation of leaders -- the students of today -- must develop the critical-reasoning and problem-solving skills that will help make them the most productive in the world.
