  1. Cracked and unfit engine block removal must for efficient performance Your vehicle’s life ends at the point you have a cracked or damaged engine block. Replacement of engine can be a costly affair and often considered as a waste option for your present vehicle. Cylinder liner exporters explain why you must replace or repair your damaged engine block and how cracked block of engine affects the performance of your vehicle. Many people attempt to repair cracked blocks their own. It is still suggested to take your vehicle to the mechanic who knows his job. The problem is that you alone cannot easily weld an engine block because it is manufactured with cast iron. Welding cast iron is a tougher job than welding the steel. You can weld cast iron using an arc welder and the proper welding rods, but that result in deformation to your engine block. Other issue can also happen, i.e. it will leave the welded area more brittle and vulnerable to further cracking. Other method used for fixing a cracked block is known as cold metal stitching. This is similar to sewing two pieces of fabric together; however, it is difficult in case of metal. The issue with this process is that it doesn’t work well on components that experience drastic temperature variations, since the change of temperature causes shrinkage and swelling of the meal and this causes the metal stitching to tear and reopen the crack. The cold metal stitching method is costly and only applied on larger or expensive motors, such as heavy equipment, marine motors, or diesel engines. Before you try to repair any cracked engine block, you have to look out for genuine issue. If you have external crack in your block, which is visible, you will get to know the issue. But internal cracks are unseen and the symptoms can often be similar to that of a blown head gasket.

  2. The best way to seal a cracked block is to apply a premium quality radiatorand block sealer. Such sealers are formulated sealing agents that can be added to the vehicle’s cooling system. These sealers are able to seal the cracked block from the inside out across the cooling system. You can connect with cylinder liner exporters who are dealing in such products as well. If you need more details about using these products, you can ask the suppliers. Feedback for this article is open for all. Kindly don’t repeat your comments or use abusive slangs for other users.
