Microsoft CoreCAL Servers • Enrollment for Education Systems (EES) agreement • 6-month term • Option to renew at 1 year or 3 years • Current MS CA is up on June 30, 2013 • Timeline: • Approved by IT Leaders and no objections from SFO’s • Agreements currently at OSU Legal • Pending approval from above (expected in Feb.)

  4. Microsoft CoreCAL Server Site License • Includes: • Windows servers (including HPC), and Windows External Connector (not RDS external connector!) • Sharepoint servers, including Sharepoint Server for Internet Sites • Exchange servers and Exchange Standard External Connector • Lync servers and Lync Standard External Connector • Systems Center Config Manager server and server MLs

  5. Adobe Acrobat ELA • “Upgrades” from Acrobat permitted • Drives the price down for larger suites, like the Creative Suites • FTE based, students may be included • Distribution expected to be on OSU SLS • Timeline: • Approved by IT Leaders and no objections from SFO’s • Pending agreement language from Adobe (expected last week) • Pending approval from above (expected in Feb.)

  6. Adobe Acrobat CLP • Pending agreement language from Adobe • WiredOut is likely to be the renewal vendor of choice for compliance and pricing purposes • You must renew maintenance on products before expiration but after the agreement is signed to keep products under maintenance • Expiration date: 3/30/12 • Timeline: • Pending agreement language from Adobe (expected last week) • OSU Legal or Purchasing will have to review/sign the agreement

  7. SPSS Renewal or Retirement • OCIO Site Licensing and OSU Purchasing are in discussions with SPSS • Current due date for pricing from SPSS: Feb. 1, 2012 • Decision regarding products renewed by Feb. 15, 2012

  8. Apple Volume Purchase Plan • Questions from last meeting • Who owns the software? • Software is owned by the Univeristy, but software under $100 may be treated like other supplies • Initial roll out will likely require that Apps are installed on unviersty-owned devices • What sort of training is required to be a Program Facilitator? • Training needs indicate that Program Facilitators should be in departmental purchasing areas • How do we coordinate bulk purchases • WiredOut is one option as a Program Facilitator to help here

  9. OCIO DLP RFP • OCIO Security has narrowed the field to a final set of vendors to negotiate with • Expected award in before our next meeting • Details being worked out at this point are architectural in nature

  10. Anti-Malware • Current McAfee agreement expires on Sept. 30, 2012 • OCIO Site Licensing is discussing pricing with McAfee • Additional options are available • Forefront and Microsoft Security Essentials • Student/Home version of Windows McAfee enters retirement this month

  11. SLS Request Fulfillment • OCIO Site Licensing has hired consultants to improve the workflow of the download site. Key improvements sought include: • Automation of the checkout process • Elimination of paper agreements • Increased access to packages via download • Improved security • Ability to turn on downloads for specific users if necessary • Ability to view distribution records • Ability to tie software to a department • Large file download and distribution

  12. SAS Renewal • Codes for all versions (9.1.3, 9.2, 9.3) available for both Admin and Teaching/Research

  13. JMP Renewal • New JMP contract signed by Purchasing • Extends JMP to all branch campuses • No increase in cost • Codes have arrived

  14. Maple Renewal • Renewal completed in December • Avoided 3.5% increase
