Well, the current speedcubing world champion was! Feliks Zemdegs created history on 30th January 2010 by winning one of his first world records at the Melbourne Summer Open 2010. The first time Zemdegs bought his first speed cube in April 2008 was after he watched a couple of speedcubing videos on YouTube. When Zemdegs first bought the Rubik’s cube, he could not make any head or tail out of it. But his passion for puzzles, in general, drove him to learn cube solving via online tutorials, and the rest is history! Do you also dream of seeing your name on the world cubing champions board? Zemdegs was born on 20th December 1995 in Melbourne, Australia. He is a graduate in mechanical engineering with a specialization in economics from Melbourne University. His passion for puzzles stemmed early on during his childhood. He began early with a simple Rubik’s cube and gradually aced his cubing skills to speedcubing. Today, Zemdegs has more than 100 Rubik’s cube records to his credit! If you have the passion for cracking a million solutions to the Rubik’s cube, polish your skills with Rubik’s cube online classes.
