Amazon Web Service (AWS) Data Migration Service (DMS) is based in the cloud and through this platform data warehouses, relational databases, NoSQL databases are easily migrated from a source database to a target. The migration is usually from a cloud to another cloud provider or on-premises to the cloud. 

  3. awsdms   s3Amazon in July 2019 announced that AWS DMS would from then on support the migration of databases via AWS DMS to S3.  It offers unmatched data scalability and durability with several benefits. For any new projects, organizations do not have to add to their existing infrastructure for more storage resources. S3 can run batch operations without limit and AWS DMS to S3 migration can be done both outside and within a region. 

  4. Several factors should be considered before AWS DMS to S3 migration can be started. First, it has to be ensured that the S3 bucket is in the same AWS region as the DMS replication instance and the AWS account has an IAM role. This role must have tagging access as objects being written in the S3 target bucket can then be tagged through the AWS DMS to S3. Finally, the IAM must have DMS as a part of the IAM as an additional entity. • How can AWS DMS to S3 be speeded up to work efficiently? • Plan out the data migration when there is no possibility of a break in business functionality or downtime. In the next stage, choose the best tools for AWS DMS to S3. Select AWS Direct Connect to initiate an exclusive network connection between the data center and an AWS Direct Connect target. For huge data volumes, use the AWS Snowball tool for the migration.
