Catholics set to pass Anglicans in UK Headline Catholics set to pass Anglicans as leading UK church Headline The Times February 15 Event Roman Catholicism is set to become the dominant religion in Britain for the first time since the Reformation because of massive migration from Catholic countries across the world. Catholic parishes will swell by hundreds of thousands over the next few years after managing years of decline, according to a new report, as both legal and illegal migrants enter the country. It says that the influx of migrants could be the Catholic community’s “greatest threat” or its “greatest opportunity”. While in some places the Catholic Church has responded positively, in others it has been “overwhelmed” by the scale of the challenge. The growth of Catholicism in Britain comes as the established Church of England and the Anglican provinces in Scotland, Wales and Ireland face continuing, if slow, decline. Comment The reformation began in the 16th century. The reformation was about questioning the power of Rome and the Pope. As people began to read the Bible in their own language (not Latin) for the first time, they questioned the beliefs and practices of Catholicism. Eg teachings on purgatory, the sale of indulgences, devotion to Mary and the authority of the Pope. The reformation was based on direct Bible interpretation. Britain eventually cast off 1000 years of Catholic rule - known as the Dark Ages and became a Protestant country. It is sad to see that the Dark Ages are nearly back. The proposals have been agreed by senior bishops of both churches. In a 42-page statement prepared by an international commission of both churches, Anglicans and Roman Catholics are urged to explore how they might reunite under the Pope. The statement, leaked to The Times, is being considered by the Vatican, where Catholic bishops are preparing a formal response. Comment There are some who may question whether we are right to highlight the fact that the Papacy, headed up by the Pope is specifically singled out by God as a false religion. After all there are many false religions. Why pick on this one? The answer is simple. It was Rome that corrupted Christianity. It pretended to be a true Christian religion and therefore deceived many. From this false religion were spawned many other false Christian religions – but Rome remains the Mother of them all. Or the “MOTHER OF HARLOTS”, as Revelation 17 puts it. Anglicanism (meaning “the English Church”) was a religion that refused to accept the Pope as its authority and accepted only the Bible. This is changing and it looks like they too will accept the MOTHER church of Rome again. We are warned to “come out of her, my people”. We are not saying Catholics are more sinful than anyone else – we are saying that millions of people have been taken in by the deceitful words of Rome. The talks focused on easing tension between Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians and finding common ground in denouncing intolerance and extremism. They also discussed the Middle East, but no details were given. The pair spoke mostly in German - the Pope's native language and the one used by Mr Putin during his years working for the KGB in the former East Germany. Comment In Revelation 16 we read of a dragon, a beast and a false prophet. The dragon represents the Eastern half of the Roman Empire ie Russia. The Beast represents the Western half – ie the EU, dominated by Germany. The false prophet is Roman Catholicism. So at this meeting we have the dragon, meeting the false prophet, speaking in the language of the beast! (German). From these 3 symbolic creatures come forth 3 froglike spirits (false promises) that gather ALL nations to the battle of Armageddon. From Russia came the false promise of Equality. In fact the opposite happened. A totalitarian society was born. From Western Europe came the false promise of Liberty through humanistic teachings. In the fact the opposite happened. A society in slavery to sin was born. From the false prophet came the false promise fraternity (brotherhood). In fact the opposite happened. This religion declared to be the MOTHER religion of all Christian religions and they were to be subject to her. The three are focussing on Israel. After the brief meeting, the Vatican issued a statement confirming that the discussion had centred on the continuing crisis in the Holy Land, with the Pope praising "the commitment - thanks also to the help of the international community - to relaunch the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians." The Pope also spoke with his guest about "the difficulties faced by Catholics" in Palestinian territory, the Vatican said. After his meeting with the Pontiff, the Palestinian leader-- popularly known as Abu Mazen-- met with Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone (bio - news), the Secretary of State, and Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, the Secretary for Relations with States. Abbas is in Europe for a series of meetings with political leaders, hoping to end an embargo on foreign aid to the Palestinian Authority. While in Rome he met with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi and his foreign minister, Massimo D'Alema. Comment These meetings are rarely mentioned in the main press. Why should they be. The world is not interested. But we are. Why? Because the false religion of Rome will stand against Christ and the saints at the very end. We know they oppose the Jewish state and would like to see Jerusalem taken away from Jewish authority. At the very least split down the middle. Their claim is that Rome is now the new Jerusalem. But 2,000 years on, the cracks in his legacy are beginning to show. The Forum, the Colosseum and the palaces of the Palatine Hill still stand as proud testament to the Roman builders' genius. Yet today they are betrayed by monumental neglect. The problem of course is money. It costs millions to protect the treasures of Ancient Rome. The Palatine is honeycombed with cavities - the result of centuries of tunnelling and digging. Instead of demolishing homes and palaces the Romans built on top of them. So while the structures may look solid from above, below they rest on shaky foundations. Comment However grand, however rich, however large the empires of man are, they all end up as dust. The theory of the Vatican is that Rome is the New Jerusalem that is mentioned in Revelation 21. Rome in fact is where the mother of all harlot religions sits - on 7 mountains. See Revelation 17:9. Interesting quote above that says “while the structures look solid from above, below they rest on shaky foundations”! Is this not exactly the position of the world. It’s cities, wealth even its teachings appear to be solid structures, and yet they all rest on shaky foundations. Let us make sure our foundation is built on the Word of God and our faith in the true New Jerusalem in literal Israel ruled over by Jesus Christ the King. "There is a need for new initiatives by the international community to end the violence in the Holy Land," said the Patriarch, speaking to a Vatican Radio audience on May 22. "One does not see the possibility for dialogue" between the conflicting parties now, he said. Without some help from abroad, he said, "we are in a hopeless situation." Patriarch Sabbah said that the Pope's words to world leaders, issued during his Sunday public audience on May 20, "help us not to lose hope." He said that he hoped the Pope's appeal for international leadership would be answered, "because this is not a local but an international conflict." The Patriarch said that the Catholic Church in the Middle East is building peace through inter-religious dialogue and by promoting the dignity of every man, regardless of nationality or creed. Comment Here we have the Pope speaking to the world leaders, telling them to get involved with the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. (The Pope actually says Palestine though there is no such place!) The Bible speaks of the harlot woman in Revelation. A woman is symbolic of religion yet this is a harlot religion. We know which one as she is sat on 7 hills (Rome). This false religion reigns over and influences world leaders. She wants Israel to be stripped of the land and Jerusalem. The document is expected to be published within the next few weeks. Known as a motu proprio, signifying that it is the Pope’s personal initiative, it reflects Benedict XVI’s thinking on the subject since long before he was elected pontiff. While, as Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, he was Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, he repeatedly expressed sympathy for those Catholics who felt nostalgia for the traditional Latin rite which dated back to the Middle Ages Comment We may wonder if this is significant. It is only when you realise what the old Latin Mass actually says that you realise that the revival of the Latin Mass has ramifications beyond the world of Roman Catholicism. This Mass calls for the conversion of the Jews. Its demotion was an important outcome of the Second Vatican Council (1962-65), whose deliberations were supposed to have signalled a recognition by the Holy See of the part played by Catholics and by Catholicism in the persecution of the Jewish people. The Pope’s personal support for the revival of the Latin Mass therefore has disturbing implications for the future of Catholic-Jewish relations. With Bible in hand we see the role of the Harlot (false religion) sat on 7 hills (Rome) and know she will make war against the saints and Christ. It restates key sections of a 2000 document the pope wrote when he was prefect of the congregation, "Dominus Iesus," which set off a firestorm of criticism among Protestant and other Christian denominations because it said they were not true churches but merely ecclesial communities and therefore did not have the "means of salvation." Comment So according to the Pope, Christadelphians are not a true church as we do not except the supremacy of the him ie the Pope. The document went on to say that "Christ 'established here on earth' only one church," It continues that the other communities "cannot be called 'churches' in the proper sense" because they do not have apostolic succession, the ability to trace their bishops back to Christ's original apostles. The Vatican states the Peter was the first Pope (Pope means Father). Peter was originally called Simon. It was Jesus who changed his name to Peter which means a small stone. Jesus said he would build his church on a ROCK not a stone! 1 Corinthians 10:11 “and that Rock was Christ.” We have no other head than Christ. Ephesians 5:23 “Christ is the head of the church”. The Pope, speaking as he was concluding his holiday in northern Italy, also said the human race must listen to "the voice of the Earth" or risk destroying its very existence. In a talk with 400 priests, the Pope spoke of the current debate raging in some countries, particularly the US and his native Germany, between creationism and evolution. “They are presented as alternatives that exclude each other,” the Pope said. “This clash is an absurdity because on one hand there is much scientific proof in favour of evolution, which appears as a reality that we must see and which enriches our understanding of life and being as such.” But he said evolution did not answer all the questions and could not exclude a role by God. More people attend Mass every Sunday than worship with the Church of England, figures seen by The Sunday Telegraph show. This means that the established Church has lost its place as the nation's most popular Christian denomination after more than four centuries of unrivalled influence following the Reformation. The statistics show that attendance at Anglican Sunday services has dropped by 20 per cent since 2000. A survey of 37,000 churches, to be published in the new year, shows the number of people going to Sunday Mass in England last year averaged 861,000, compared with 852,000 Anglicans ­worshipping. Comment Also on the same theme this week, Tony Blair finally converted to Catholoism in a private ceremony. He was an Anglican. His wife Cherie, who, like the couple's four children, is already a Catholic. These headlines are significant and directly fulfil Bible prophecy in relation to Britain. In Isaiah 23 we read that the ancient trading capital city of Pheoncia called Tyre, would “pass over” to Tarshish (Britain). So a latter day Tyre will exist in Tarshish. Later in the chapter we read that Tyre (based in Britain) would “sing like a harlot” and would “commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world.” Isaiah 24 then speaks of the final judgement of the world. Britain IS singing like a harlot. A harlot is a false religion opposed to God. Revelation 17 speaks of a harlot riding a beast. This harlot sits on 7 hills. A clear reference to Rome! Britain has become like a Harlot worshipping the false and idolatrous religion of Rome. Tony Blair’s whole premiership promoted “Catholic” ideas and principles. Britain has followed his example.
