Key Criteria for a Western States Registry • Reporting into multiple initiatives is time consuming and difficult - coordination and streamlining amongst states/governments is needed • Early action needs to bear reward: • with governments and communities, and, • through services via registry such as legislative updates or exporting data to other formats &/or registries
Key Criteria for a Western States Registry • Must have a way to ensure a level playing field • Simple and easy to use database • Internationally recognized protocol • Easy access to assistance from Registry to quickly deal with issues • Build on what already exists
Summary • The larger the region the better • Ensure credit for early action • Ensure international recognition • Level playing field • Don’t reinvent the wheel
