FungsiPentingGinjal • Ginjaladalah organ berbentuklonjong, masing-masingberukuranserupadengankepalantangan, yaitukuranglebihpanjangnya 10 – 12 cm, lebarnya 5 – 6 cm, dantebal 3 – 4 cm. • Bentukdanwarnanyamenyerupaikacangmerahdenganberatkurangebih 140 gram. Organ tersebutterletakdidekatpertengahanpunggung, tepatdibawahkerangkatulangrusuk.

Berfungsimenjagadarahtetapbersihdanseimbangsecarakimiawi, • Membersihkandarahdanracun yang adadidalamnya, • Selainitu, ginjaljugamemegangperananpentingdalammengatur volume cairantubuh, mendaurulang (air, mineral, danzatgizi), • Mengaturkeseimbangankandungankimiadarah, danmenjagadarah agar tidakterlaluasamatauterlalubasa.
