DEPARTURE: Runway:___________ Crosswind:___________ Operating area:______________________ Altitude:____________ ENGINE: PITCH &YAW FLAP: PITCH &LIFT/DRAG TRIMMER: UNLOADS RESIDUAL ELEVATOR LOADS Cabin Heater & Ventilator Controls Carburettor Heat Control : Used to prevent ice building up in the carburettor. Mixture Control : Used to keep engine running at best fuel/air ratio. PRE-TAKE OFF:- RADIO TELEPHONY (RT) Ensure: Taxy checks completed Engine power checks completed Pre-take off checks completed (vital actions) Take off brief completed Wyton radio cannot issue clearances.
