Current Situation • Bramford HWRC -Closing on 31st July 2011 • No current solutions coming forward for this site. A community composting scheme being considered locally with SCC support. • Brome HWRC – Closing on 31st July 2011 • Eye Town Council looking at solutions with commercial waste management companies. • Chelmondiston HWRC – Closing on 31st July 2011 • The local Parish Councils, working with a local waste company to provide a “pay as you throw” facility at the current site, due to re-open late August 2011. Community composting likely. • Newmarket HWRC – Closing on 31st July 2011 • Charity run Reuse and Recycling Centre opening 25th August 2011 on current site. • Beccles HWRC - Closing on 31st October 2011 • Town Council looking at solutions with commercial waste management companies. Southwold HWRC – Closing 31st October 2011 • Town Council working with local waste management company on a solution on the current HWRC site.
