Saber & Conocer (to know) • Saber is used for facts,information,or knowledge that can be stated,and when telling how to do something. • Conocer means to know a person,to be familiar with a place. With places,conocer is often translated as “to have been”in English. Being familiar or acquainted with a person,place,or thing. • Saber+infinitive means to know how to do something. ¿sabescocinar? (do you know how to cook?) • Saber=S.I.K.(stated info & knowledge) • Conocer=A.P.P.T(Acquainted w/ a person,place,or thing)
Stem changing –IR verbs in the preterite.They only occur in 3rd person sing.+pl. Pidió Pidieron repitió repitieron Pedir(to ask for) repetir(to repeat) Pancake!
