2. Continuous Improvement Performance Plan (CIPP) Indicators 1 - 15
IDEA 2004 requires that each State Education Agency submit a State Performance Plan (SPP) which evaluates:
the state’s effort to implement the requirements of IDEA, and
the state’s effort to improve results for students with disabilities
NC set measurable and rigorous targets for 20 indicators
Data is obtained from each LEA on the 1st 15 Indicators (CIPP) and is reported to the state
Data is reported annually to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) – Annual Performance Report
3. SEA and LEA DETERMINATIONS (08-09 data)
Four levels of determinations:
Meets Requirements and purpose of Part B of the IDEA
Needs Assistance in implementing Part B of IDEA
Needs Intervention in implementing Part B of IDEA
Needs Substantial Intervention in implementing Part B of IDEA
NC Determination from OSEP (Office of Special Ed Programs) - _________
Carteret County Determination from DPI – Meets Requirements (07-08);
08-09 will be determined in June ‘10
If in need of assistance or intervention for 2 consecutive years, may impact us monetarily, may require corrective action plan, or impose special conditions on application for IDEA and state funds
LEA Determinations made on:

Indicator 11 Indicator 13**
