Green Building Certification Institute Le Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), fondé en janvier 2008, gère la certification par les tierces parties et les justificatifs d'identité des professionnels du développement durable. Il administre la certification des projets commerciaux et institutionnels sous le couvert du USGBC/LEED. Il s'occupe aussi de la formation des PA LEED et des LEED Green Associates.

LEED® v.4 USGBC • Il est présentement possible d’utiliser une partie ou l’ensemble de la nouvelle version à condition de faire partie du beta-test pour le système LEED® v.4 USGBC • LEED® 2009 versus LEED® v.4 : • La nouvelle version met l’emphase sur la rigueur technique des versions précédentes et vise le développement de nouvelles exigences pour de nouveaux secteurs (centres de données, centres de distribution et d’entreposage, hôtels, etc.) • ‘’LEED® Online’’ a aussi été amélioré et les outils de documentation seront plus efficaces
