    8. Facility Estimate Change is between 10-20% traditional 18 facility types contribute to total MILCON requirements 7 of the 18 are reduced by 20% (headquarters, barracks, DFACs) 4 facility types are reduced by 10% (maintenance) 7 facility types are not reduced (runways, aprons, parking, family housing, storage) Total change to installation requirement is approx 10% Looking in 3 distinct areas Planning & Programming Standards & Criteria Acquisition & Execution

Program for total requirement rather than for individual facilities Program for mission critical and community facilities first to meet basic functional requirements READ SLIDE FOR CLARIFICATION WE WILL BE PROGRAMMING FOR THE TOTAL INITIATIVE (ALL MISSION FACILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR A GIVEN BCT ON ONE PROGRAMMING DOCUMENT) BUT OUR ACQUSITION WILL BE IN WHATEVER COMBINATION MAKES SENSE GIVEN AVAILABLE FUNDING FOR EACH INCREMENTAL YEAR, INDUSTRY CAPACITIES, COMPETING INITIATIVES, ETC. THE ANNUNAL MILCON PROGRAM OF APPROX $2B / YR EQUATES TO APPROX 100-115 PROJECTS THE POTENTIAL AVERAGE SIZE OF THE ACQUISITIONS WILL MOST LIKELY DIFFER FOR THESE INIATIVES THAN WHAT WE SEE FOR THE NORMAL ANNUAL MILCON PROJECTS WERE WE PROGRAM FOR THE INDIVIAL PROJECT/FACILITY.
