  3. Vocabulary to know… • Sight words: any word can be a sight word. These words are represented completely enough in memory to be recognized quickly and accurately in and out of context. How is sight word acquisition facilitated by you? • Word banks: collection of words from texts that are being read and reread. What is the benefit of creating these for students? • Personal readers: collection of familiar poems, rhymes, songs, dictated stories, etc. Why use these in your classroom?
