This report outlines operational Goal 1 of Northwest ISD to improve reading levels in grades K-3 through dynamic learning experiences. Strategies such as workshops, guided reading, and leadership training are emphasized to achieve this goal.

Operational Goal 1 Northwest ISD will design dynamic learning experiences to ensure that all students are future-ready learners. We will increase the number of students identified as reading on or above grade level in grades K-3 through an aligned emphasis of professional development, curriculum development and alignments, and performance monitoring tools intended to meet the goals set forth in the NISD Profile of a Graduate.

Building Leadership Capacity Principal & Leader Cohort Groups Campus administrators and Curriculum and Instruction staff were trained on the Rigor and Relevance framework that included campus visits, analysis of student work, and a calibration of Districtwide expectations.
