TERMINAL PERFORMANCE MESSAGE
2. Today Container Terminals are obliged to provide terminal performance data in all different formats . Each carrier or consortia requires different formats , often even for each trade lane ! To reduce number of different formats and to streamline workload for terminals and Ocean carriers, SMDG developed a standard EDIFACT message , the TPFREP message. SMDG is promoting the message as a possibility for terminals to provide ONE standard terminal performance format to Ocean Carriers. The Terminal Performance Report message, version 3.0, is stable. Terminals should encourage Ocean Carriers to adopt TPFREP Alternative to TPFREP message: Terminals with no or limited EDI capability , or those terminals which have no budget to implement TPFREP, should ask carriers to make use of a “standard” EXCEL Terminal Performance Matrix. H-L has developed an Excel matrix which is an exact mirror of the TPFREP message. We are willing to share the matrix to all users.
