Objectives • Students will learn to recognize, analyze and generalize fundamental shapes. • Students will collaboratively work together in groups to synthesize their understanding and recognition of shapes, while using their interpersonal intelligences. 3. Students will engage in movement to explore how they can use their bodies to make sense of shapes using Gardener’s theory of bodily-kinesthetic and spatial relationships
Day3 • Review previous material • Introduction to movement - Pre-discussion - Warm-up • Making shapes with our bodies - Open-ended - Instructional • “Simon Says” • Journals
Day5 • “Simon Says” • Final Presentation - Groups of 4 - Mapping out patterns using 4 shapes - Present pattern to the class • Question/Answer period
