This is a (smaller) reproduction of Gaudi's original 1:10 model, used to calculate structural balance. Between 1889 and 1908 Gaudi designed the Colonia Guelli Church with a highly innovative method: the hanging model. With the model inverted, a very lightweight masonry brick structure was developed. That key theme of 'understated but bold' is evidenced in the relatively simple body section and a horizontal beltline with very little 'wedge'. Continental Flying Spur Finally, the A-pillars on the Flying Spur are more upright to provide better cabin space and a sweeter balance to the cabin profile.
