Parent Meeting -2014 BARON Football is a GREAT Program for our sons, our school and our community… We need EVERYONE’S COMMITMENT to continue to operate this GREAT Program at a level consistent with the expectations of our District, School, Administration, Faculty, Families, Coaches, Players and Alumni. Agenda – • What does it take to run OUR Football Program ? • How do we make this happen for the Program? • What personal commitment do we need from each of us?
Parent Meeting - 2014 2013 was a great success… Coach Fenton, his staff and the our Barons made CIF playoffs for the first time in five seasons. We had 3 Sunset League wins which included victories over Los Alamitos and eventual CIF champions Huntington Beach. We have a strong number of talented returning players. Completely new strength and conditioning program. Overhauled team room and weight-room. Significantly increased energy and enthusiasm of the entire school surrounding the program. We are going to play in Florida and get national recognition. Most Booster Board Positions are filled Our fundraising agenda has been completed and implementation is underway!! YOU are critical to continuing this success…
The Baron Booster Mission To promote the welfare and morale of all organized football teams which represent FVHS, initiate and implement any approved financial goals to further the football program, assist the FVHS Football coaching staff in their activities, and assist members and all other persons (fans) to participate more fully in all Booster endeavors. Success depends on commitment by every active Booster Member… BASICALLY - EVERY PARENT IS A BOOSTER MEMBER!
… More plainly The Booster Program exists to make… • Playing Football a Safe and Rewarding Experience for Your Sons • Coaching Baron Football Attractive to High Quality Coaches • Attending Baron Football Games a Fabulous Activity for Fountain Valley Students, Staff, Fans and our Community ... All the while having FUN ourselves…
Football is a Team Sport Baron Football is more than a chance for young men to play a game… Our players earn the opportunity to • Compete in the Sunset League, the Southwest Division’s most competitive conference by far. • Contribute to a team, and build the life long skills of dedication to team, self-discipline and leadership • Understand and practice commitment to team, school and community • Develop leadership skills through opportunities as teammates and as assigned leaders. Without the Baron Football Boosters, this program and these opportunities could not exist as they do TODAY…

Fountain Valley High School – Clearance Expense: Clearance for football players approx $100 on top of other school expenses Approx $100 + ASB At clearance, the high school wants to collect the cost of transportation and trainers for the football players which in the past has been about $90. The school may require the Booster organization to pay the transportation/trainer part of this expense in the future. At the same time, the high school has an ASB fee that covers the students ASB card, yearbook, and other school items. ALL STUDENTS PAY THIS FEE.
