S.M.A.R.T. • To become a good English speaker you must be S.M.A.R.T!
Being S.M.A.R.T. is not how much you know, it is a way to study.
“S” “S” stands for: “specific” Set Specific Goals
“M” “M” Stands for “Measurable: Set Measurable Goals
“A” “A” Stands for “Actionable” How will you Accomplish your Goals?
“R” “R” Stands for “Realistic” Set Realistic Goals!
“T” “T” Stands for “Tenacious” When pursuing your goals, you must be Tenacious!
QEUSTION:How do you eat a ELEPHANT? ANSWER : • ONE BITE AT A TIME
Goals are the same way • You have to set goals and work on them a little at a time. A journey of a thousand miles…... starts with one step.
Get together with a group of friends and practice your English! • A Book Club
If you can, use the internet! Find English websites that you are interested in!

Take notes in class!!! • Quickly review your notes as soon as you can after class. • Review your notes as often as possible.
Make connections • If you learn something, and it is important to you, and you can connect it with many things you already know, your memory retention will be very high

You will not be bored if you are MOTIVATED! Question: What is your motivation to do well in school?
