The story so far • Stat & Man training a priority for HRDs in C&M • Liverpool Women’s Hospital lead an initial workshop • CM tPCT set up a programme to develop the outcomes • Linked to work in other areas • Skills Passport • Similar approaches in other regions
Approach taken • Established a Steering and Working group • Stakeholder Engagement • Senior / Executive Directors • Learning & Development Leads • Subject Matter Experts • Wider Health Sector • Align and share development with other regions
What is the CSF? • Conflict Resolution • Equality & Diversity • Fire Safety • Health & Safety • Infection Control • Moving & Handling • Resuscitation • Safeguarding Adults • Safeguarding Children • Aims to standardise statutory & mandatory training • Covers 9 subjects • Agreed set of learning outcomes for each subject • Introduces an assessment strategy
What are the benefits? • Establishes quality and consistency in training • Prevents duplication of training • Recognise training delivered externally • Freeing up capacity in Learning & Development • Greater workforce flexibility

Supporting the developmentand delivery of the CSF • We have a number of short sessions outlining the key activities that have been undertaken to support the Core Skills Framework • During each session questions will be posed which can be answered using the voting buttons to get an audience response about a key issue that needs to be addressed if implementation is to be successful
The North West and National Framework • SfH part of Programme Delivery Structure • We fully support the work that is being launched in NW • NW are key part of Expert Reference Group for National work • We see the interface as between NW and National as evolutionary
